My Letters To The Little One

…love letters from the Mommy

on August 9, 2011

Hi Baby! 🙂 *Sigh* I’m not really sure when we are going to tell Grandma our BIG SURPRISE, but I’m getting more excited rather than nervous. I don’t know why though. But at least, I think we are past the morning sickness stage. Big yaaaaay for us! 🙂 I know you will still be a little picky at this point, but both of us will do just fine.

Anyhoo, we haven’t gone to the doctor just yet, cause Mommy’s still working long hours at work. Maybe by first week of September? Sorry Baby, it’s not that Mommy doesn’t love you, it’s just that she’s working really hard for our future. And yeah, Daddy’s doing that too. We had a heart-to-heart talk on the phone last night, that’s why we lost a few hours of sleep. Sorry. 😦

Yeah, I made this post cause according to the counter I consulted (which I’m not exactly 100% sure about, but I’m really kind of hoping it is), you are already 12 weeks old! 🙂 Hoohoo! 🙂 Now let’s see what the internet says about what you probably look like by now.

at 12 weeks!

And here is what the site says about you:

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby’s fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won’t be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby’s brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce.

Woooow! 🙂 Mommy and Daddy are more excited than ever! Daddy’s even imagining the kinds of things he’ll buy for you. 🙂 Hahaha! Okay Baby, Mommy’s going to have lunch now. What are we having for today? 🙂 We love you! 🙂
